Some Unexpected Coverage for the Aftermath Learning Lab

Sometimes research coverage comes in unexpected places…

Earlier this month, the Onion wrote a satirical article poking fun at aspects of fast fashion and referenced researchers at Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) as behind the fictional study. Though the article does not reference our lab directly, the selection of BUSPH was presumably because the Aftermath Learning Lab’s sculpture visited BUSPH last year, leading to several articles on their website that have been read widely and are now high in the search results when searching about textile waste on Google, such as the article at this link.

We at the Aftermath Learning Lab are excited about the increasing reach of our work and the potential for our ongoing and future projects focused on informal learning and art advocacy to engage the public across a variety of platforms including those outside of traditional scientific and academic spaces.
